You are invited to participate in the 11th Annual Los Angeles Sheriff’s Athletic Association and Weapons Training Unit, Action Pistol Match on October 17^th, 2026, from 0800-1600 hours, at the PDC Range (29300 The Old Road, Castaic 91384).

There will be 8 action packed stages, challenging your accuracy, speed, and other manipulation skills.

Equipment needed: Department approved duty pistol which you have been certified and trained to carry, with a minimum of 3 magazines.  Department approved Sam/Sally Browne gun belt, with Department approved duty holster and magazine pouch.  Eye/ear protection, range/shooting appropriate attire, closed toe shoes.  **Shooters will not be permitted to shoot without the above firearm and equipment.**

Individuals can wear an off-duty holster with no retention, but it must be concealed (Ineligible to win Match Champion with off duty holster).

Individuals shooting in the Tactical Division may wear their non-traditional duty gear but cannot win Match Champion (Only Top Tactical award) in tactical gear/non-traditional Sam/Sally Brown.

Catered lunch will be provided.

Adult family members may come and watch the event, but they must have eye/ear protection.  NO minors will be permitted on the range.

All participants and spectators will be required to sign a liability waiver.

This event is only open to active, and reserve LASD employees who have received department training and have been issued an on-duty firearm.

Cost: LASAA members are free, NON-LASAA members $60 or sign up for LASAA on or before the day of the event, which includes the match, awards, and Lunch.

 Payment will be due in the morning of the match.

All LASD members are reminded this is not a Sheriff’s Department-sanctioned event and is not covered by Workers’ Compensation benefits in the event of an injury.  Refer to LASD MPP 3-09/300.03 and 3-09/300.15.
